A delegation from Kenya, including the country’s Deputy Head of Mission and First Secretary, visited Guernsey Finance today to discuss matters of mutual importance.
Guernsey Finance’s Deputy Chief Executive Barnaby Molloy and Director of International Business Development James Crawford hosted a meeting attended by Edwin Afande and Fidel Ong'ute, where they reaffirmed Guernsey’s ties with Kenya, which is itself an important gateway to other East African nations.
‘We were honoured to receive the Kenyan Deputy Head of Mission and First Secretary and spent time discussing matters that are important both to Guernsey and Kenya,’ said Barnaby.
‘Of particular importance were enabling capital through financial services, financial regulation, agriculture, digital finance, and foreign direct investment.’
James confirmed that Guernsey has four trips planned to Kenya in 2025 to continue to build on the positive relationship between our geographies.
‘We are starting to generate opportunities around that market and we look forward to further developing those positive conversations in the coming months,’ he said.
