Speaker lineup announced for Guernsey Private Wealth Forum

Steven Bartlett, British entrepreneur and host of Europe’s No. 1 podcast Diary of a CEO, has been confirmed as the special guest at Guernsey Finance’s Private Wealth Forum. 

The investor and best-selling author will discuss his life and career to date in a fireside chat with Guernsey Finance’s Chief Executive Rupert Pleasant at the event, which takes place on 16 October in London. 

The sold-out event, titled Wealth in Transition, will explore the nature of change within families across the globe. 

Edwin Smith, Editor-in-Chief at Spear’s will deliver an introductory address on the nuances of the private wealth sector and current priorities of high-net-worth individuals. 

This will be followed by two panel sessions. First, Approaching a Changing World will explore the impact of global events on the private wealth industry, as well as the importance of a diverse portfolio and effective jurisdictional choice.  

Panellists include Sehjal Gupta, Director at Menzies LLP, Neil Hoolahan, Director at Grant Thornton, Clem Hutton-Mills, Managing Director at Goldman Sachs and Hannah Kalveks, Senior Counsel at Macfarlanes.

The second panel will explore A New Generation, focusing on emerging industries bringing new opportunities to the fore, including technological developments, entertainment and sport, and the trends among this new cohort of wealth holders. 

Alexa Collis, Partner at Harbottle & Lewis, will be joined on stage by Callum McCutcheon, Director at PWC Channel Islands, Catherine Grum, Founder of Catherine Grum Consultancy Ltd and Hannah Wailoo, Partner at Withers LLP. 

The panellists will share their expertise in succession planning, upholding legacies, and cross-border financial planning.
