Stuart Bray

Client Services Director Butterfield Group

Stuart has worked in the offshore trust sector for some 27 years, servicing both private and institutional trust clients. Having started his career at Deutsche Bank, he worked for its offshore trust business for many years, originally in Guernsey but most latterly holding Managing Director positions in the Mauritius and then Cayman Islands trust businesses.


As part of Butterfield’s acquisition of Deutsche Bank’s offshore trust business in 2018, Stuart joined Butterfield’s trust division in Cayman as a Director and Head of Private & Institutional Clients. In 2020 he then made the decision to return home to Guernsey and transferred to Butterfield’s Guernsey trust operation. Stuart currently holds the position of Senior Client Services Director in Butterfield’s Guernsey trust business and also sits on the associated Guernsey trust company board. He has extensive experience in assisting clients from across the globe, from Latin America to Asia, as well as significant experience of the UK res / non-dom market. He holds the Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland and Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners qualifications.

Elena Gogh

Group Partner Bedell Cristen

Elena is a group partner in Bedell Cristin's International Private Client practice in Guernsey, and has extensive wealth planning experience in designing and establishing bespoke asset holding structures, including trusts, foundations and private trust companies for private and business assets. Elena is recognised by Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 for the quality of her advice, and practised for many years in some of the leading private client teams in London.
She works with individuals, trustees, government bodies, international financial institutions and family offices, advising on complex trust matters and regulatory issues

Ben Hanney

Head of Swiss Trusts & Corporate Banking Investec

Ben works closely with family offices in London, the Channel Islands and Switzerland, facilitating and advising them on their offshore banking requirements.  Previously, he worked for an international private bank advising UKRND clients. Six years ago, he moved to Investec Bank where he is well-versed in dealing with multi-national clients with often complex needs and structuring requirements.

Ben is passionate about promoting Guernsey as a top tier finance centre and introducing his clients to other Guernsey-based professional advisors.

Ben is a qualified Trust and Estate Practitioner, Chartered Wealth Manager and licenced as a Swiss Client Advisor.

Jo Kitcat

UK Representative Guernsey Finance
Jo joined the Guernsey Finance team in November 2021 as the agency’s UK representative on the ground in London, to maintain the island’s already strong relationship with the UK. He has more than 20 years of experience in financial services, primarily in business development roles. Jo has been responsible for building business relationships in various regions including UK, Switzerland, USA and Asia, and has also played a role in developing business with global financial institutions, particularly from an asset management perspective.
