Save the date for the very first London-based Guernsey Sustainable Finance Seminar. 

The event will feature two panel sessions, focusing  on emerging sustainable finance trends where Guernsey has expertise, including sustainable investment, biodiversity, disaster response and humanitarian aid. 

Themes include global perspectives on net zero and Guernsey's unique expertise as a leading jurisdiction for sustainable finance. 

Sustainable finance is a golden thread that runs through every sector of Guernsey's specialist financial services industry.  

Guernsey is a global leader in the sustainable finance space and a founder member of United Nations Financial Centres for Sustainability (UNDP FC4S) Europe, a member of the Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS) and the Sustainable Insurance Forum (SIF).

Strategy and Sustainable Finance Director Guernsey Finance

Stephanie facilitates the jurisdictional strategy for the promotion of financial services across key sectors, including sustainable finance.

She liaises with key stakeholders, including government, the financial services regulator, industry and the Sustainable Finance Guernsey Council to promote and connect Guernsey as a leading international and sustainable finance centre. Stephanie is Guernsey’s representative at the United Nations Financial Centres for Sustainability, and also sits on the TheCityUK Next Generation Leadership Council.

Stephanie previously worked in advisory at KPMG in Guernsey and has a BA (hons) in philosophy, religion and ethics from King’s College London. Stephanie has a Sustainable Finance Certificate with the University of Cambridge and is a youth ambassador for the not-for-profit Sustainability & You.

Rebecca Booth

Chartered Governance Professional

Rebecca has accrued more than 20 years' experience in the investment funds sector and is a Chartered Governance Professional. She is Chair of The Sustainable Finance Guernsey Council and has been a member  for more than five years and is actively involved in the local financial services industry. 

Rebecca holds a Master of Science in Corporate Governance and a Sustainability Business Management Qualification from the University of Cambridge.  

She is also a Member of the Institute of Directors, a Member of the Chamber of Commerce Sustainable Business Initiative, a Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute (FCG) and a Fellow of the Royal Society for Arts, Manufacturing and Commerce (FRSA).

Country Head BNP Paribas

Emmanuelle Bury has been BNP Paribas’ Country Head for the UK for almost two years. She oversees 8,000 colleagues who work across investment banking, markets, real estate, leasing and personal financial services.

The eurozone’s largest bank, BNP Paribas has served the UK for over 150 years, and currently has EUR70 billion committed to British companies. BNP Paribas is the world’s leading bank for sustainable finance – number 1 for both sustainable bonds and loans – and in the UK has financed enough renewable energy to power one-third of all homes.

Prior to taking over in the UK, Emmanuelle was Chief Compliance Officer for BNP Paribas in North America. She has also worked in client relationship management and corporate finance in both banking and consultancy.
