Guernsey Insurance Market Roadshow

Christina is a Board Director and Executive Committee member for Aon Insurance Managers, Guernsey. Aside from her directorship and underwriting team responsibilities she manages the insurance needs for a captive portfolio via Aon Guernsey’s Insurance Centre of Excellence. Christina is a board Director for a number of captive insurance companies and Operational Executive for others.

As a captive practitioner and strategy leader Christina has over 35 years international insurance market experience in senior management and team leadership positions in London, Zurich, Bermuda and now Guernsey. Her underwriting experience includes 12 years as a lead casualty underwriter for Swiss Re. She was previously a member of the JLT Insurance Management Bermuda senior executive team, working strategically to optimise captive solutions.

Christina is a graduate of Manchester University and holds a BA Honours degree. She is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Chartered Insurer. She is also a member of the Institute of Directors. Christina is British and Bermudian.

Mike is Head of Office at Willis Towers Watson Management Guernsey, where his roles include Head of Insurance and New Business Development. He is also an Account Director responsible for a portfolio of clients and all matters relating to the client service team and overall service delivery.

Mike has been the firm's Director of the Management Operations since 2016, having served as an Account Director for almost a decade. He has worked in the Guernsey insurance industry for more than 30 years. Before joining WTW, he was Chief Underwriting Officer at Alternative Risk Management Guernsey, having begun his career on the island as Vice President at Marsh Management Services Guernsey.

Involved in several associations and committees on the island, Mike is a past President of the Insurance Institute of Guernsey and a past member of the Guernsey International Business Association’s management committee.

He is the immediate past Chair of the Guernsey International Insurance Association, in which he still participates as a council member and in several market development subcommittees.

Richard Paris-Smith joined SRS Management on 1 January 2022, where he has been responsible for a portfolio of existing clients while working with the SRS team to support the Company’s growth strategy in Guernsey and Europe.

Richard has more than 30 years’ experience in the insurance industry. He spent 24 years in the 
London broking market, working for much of that time with a team focused on creating innovative 
reinsurance solutions. He moved to Guernsey in 2004 where he has gained significant experience in 
managing and advising captive and other specialized insurance and reinsurance vehicles.

Chartered Insurer, ACII
James is an Insurance Manager with experience of managing: pure captive insurance vehicles, insurance PCCs, mutual insurers, trade association captives and specialist commercial (re)insurers.

Justin is a Director at Robus Guernsey. He manages both traditional captive and commercial insurance companies as well as providing bespoke innovative insurance solutions to companies. Justin has 30 years’ experience in Guernsey’s finance sector, managing a variety of structures and holds accounting and book-keeping qualifications.
