Steve Watts is a Fellow of the 'ifs School of Finance' and during his 30 years within the Guernsey Finance Sector rose to become Managing Director of Northern Trust (Guernsey) Ltd - a Board where he currently operates as its Non Executive Director. He has operated at Board level in other jurisdictions and has a wealth of experience across many disciplines including Credit, Global Custody, Treasury, Money Markets, as well as Strategic Planning, Compliance and Risk Management.

He is well known to the Guernsey Financial Services Commission, having acted as a consultant on many issues including Derivatives, Basel 2 and the introduction of Guernsey's Deposit Compensation Scheme.
