Professor Richard Conder joined the GTA University Centre as its first Chief Executive in February 2002 following almost twenty years at Bournemouth University, the last six of which were as Pro Vice-Chancellor. He has extensive experience of curriculum development both at Bournemouth University and in other parts of the world.

At Bournemouth University he led teams of academics who developed innovative undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in Financial Services, Taxation, Business Law, Corporate Governance and International Finance.

He is a member of the Institute of Directors (IoD), The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA).

In 1995 he was awarded an honorary professorship by the University of Insurance and Banking, Warsaw and in 2002 an Honorary Doctorate in Business Administration by Bournemouth University.
